EVO – Bob Evans Exhibition | 60 Years of Pure Stoke
On Friday 4 September, 2015 a huge gathering took place at Surf World for the launch of the legendary Bob 'Evo' Evans Exhibition. Fans came in their droves to celebrate the life of one of surfing's most influential personalities, Mr Bob Evans, and they were not disappointed.

Mal Sutherland, the Chairman at Surf World, had worked tirelessly for months on the exhibition to ensure it came together before the launch night, and his hard work has resulted in a brilliant display covering the life and times of Evo. Of course this could not have been possible without the assistance of close friends and family of Evo, with particular shout outs going to Nat Young and the Evans family.

High on a Cool Wave. the fifth full length feature film of Bob Evans, was a particular highlight on the night and showcased the effortless style and skill of both Nat Young and Bob McTavish back in the mid to late 1960's. John JC Charlton hosted the panel discussion with Nat, Bob McTavish and Mal much to the delight of guests who were thrilled to relive the glory days amongst close friends.

Surf World would like to thank each and everyone who attended on the night. We're looking forward to creating more outstanding exhibitions on memorable surfing icons in the future.
